This was a family trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is to this day one of my favorite family pictures. How can you not love the fedora?Comfort…Taken at Whitewater State Park in Minnesota two years ago. After a full day of wading, all we wanted to do is come back, get warm and dry, eat and go to sleep. Upon arrival to our site we found our tent upside-down on the opposite side of out campsite (everything inside was a total disaster), our chairs blown into the river and our cooler on its side and open. Clearly the animals had taken advantage of such a bountiful opportunity, and left us only a bottle (that was partially chewed) of nasty ketchup. So we ended up getting dry and sleeping in the truck (front seat sleeping, super comfortable) and eating the power bars for dinner. That was a memorable vacation that was a little dicey, but hey at least we caught fish!Does this ride go upside-down?This picture was taken on the Rockin' Rollercoaster at Disney World in April of 2000. My nine-year-old little sister (at the time) asked my parents if the ride went upside down. Neither knew (the ride was indoors and dark) and of course after the 0-60mph acceleration in 2.8 seconds – we went every which way you could think of. Side note: we didn't all plan to wear blue. That was an embarrassing coincidence.Too Many Coasters?Taken in 1989 (I think) . . . this was from our family trip to Six Flags Great America. It was taken as we were leaving the park. I don't think I need to point out the embarrassing parts of this photo but everything from the face I'm making to the glasses to the shirt and shorts showing off my white stick legs to the fanny pack I'm wearing has been a source of laughter after my mom dug this up a few years ago. It could have stayed buried, as far as I'm concerned, but I guess if it can win me some cash, I'll share it! Seagull Attack!Buzzed by a seagull while taking a stroll by Lake Shore Park in Chicago!Grandma was not much helpWhile on a week end vacation to MO, we took a hike in a state park. We walked thru the stream and wandered along the bank as the stream got deeper. Crossing the stream proved trickier than I thought. Sadly, I dragged poor "D" down with me as I hit a slippery, muddy spot! Luckily it was a warm day and we dried off at the picnic area.Ouch Ouch! This ground is hot! This was our trip to Disney, after walking all day in shoes that hurt my Dad's feet, he got out of the pool and the ground burned his already blistered feet. As you can see my daughter is having fun but her Papa was sure was not.Camel Kiss!My niece receiving a kiss from the camel at the Oshkosh Zoo.In the drinkI went whitewater rafting near Bariloche, Argentina and inadvertently ended up in the drink. Split a bone in my arm but was also alive, so that was good. Think I'll stick to the calm lakes of Wisconsin from now on.Close CallYou're probably saying, "This gal must have a hole in her head for posing like that – what was she thinking?" Little did I know that the bills on marlin – like this one I caught near Puerto Jimenez, Costa Rica – are powerful and sharp enough to pierce one's head.Boy Meets GoatWhile visiting Wildwood Wildlife Park, I tried to get as many pictures of my kids with the animals as possible. I turned to take a picture of my daughter, and when I turned back around my son had a goat in a headlock. "I SAID quit taking my FOOD!!!"No more for meOhiopyle PA, August 2012, I flipped over backwards out of the raft right before this picture! I was terrified and had to be picked up by the van.Father and DaughtersGoing retro back to 1975 with a family favorite funny photo of my sisters and my Dad while taking a break at the Milwaukee Zoo. Notice the Kodak camera on the ground. Me and my older sister are so lady-like and a couple of my sisters are hamming it up. Meanwhile, my Dad and one other sister just look exhausted from the day.So cute I could puke!We recently took a family vacation to Disney World. We were at Disney's Animal Kingdom parade and Chip came over to say hi to our six-month-old son and, well, you can see in the picture! A bear is behind youI shot this of my wife in Katmai National Park in Alaska. She is still with me, if you are wondering.Jump Shots Gone WrongThis is my mom doing a jump shot, but her phone took off too. This is taken at Cannon Beach.Wild Ride!It has been family tradition to dine at the original Famous Dave's in Hayward, WI while vacationing at Blueberry Lake Resort. August 2012 was our son's first time to Famous Dave's (four months old at the time) and after our supper we thought we should make more memories by putting him on the carousel right out front. Well apparently he decided to make this moment even more memorable by showing us his meal! Needless to say, our timing was perfect and we were able to get this priceless picture. It still makes us chuckle every time we look at it!Swept AwayIn the never-ending quest for an amazing travel photo, my friend Briannah climbed to the top of a rock formation in Arches National Park with the intention of balancing at the top. Instead, a huge gust of wind came by and almost swept her off the top of a very high cliff, leaving poor Briannah (and me, the fearless photographer) hanging on for dear life.Stinking up the Northern WoodsSummer barbecue at Holiday Acres Resort in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. This is me and my uncle. Obviously, I've never smoked a cigar since.WHOA donkey!!!This was taken in the Dominican Republic back in 2009. "Just sit on the donkey for a quick picture....whoaaaaaaa!"Berry nice … NOT!So much for taking a great shot of my husband picking luscious sun-kissed raspberries in Bayfield. Instead of the beautiful shot I thought I got, I made him look like Bozo the Clown.
